How to Draw A Bubble Letter N Easily

How to Draw A Bubble Letter N. N is the 14th message of the alphabet, where the lowercase and uppercase versions differ greatly.

Also, check our easy unicorn coloring page.

This can make writing these letters difficult for those just learning to write the alphabet. However, it is one of the easiest letters to write once you get a hold.

While it might be easy to write a capital N, it can get more complicated if you want to try how to draw a bubble letter N.

When you learn to draw a bubble letter, you can create all sorts of fun designs, and we’ll show you how easy it is to do in just 6 steps!

Let’s start with the first step of the guide. After that, we’ll give you some additional bonus ideas to try.

How to Draw A Bubble Letter N

Step 1

Before making this bubble letter, you can make things easier by drawing it as a regular N. We could do this roughly with a pencil.

If you choose to do this, you should use a light pencil or gently press to the side, so the pencil lines are easy to erase later.

Regardless of whether you decide to use a normal N or not, we can start with the first string. You could use any drawing instrument you like, but you’ll need something with a dense tip.

All you have to do is draw a straight diagonal line. The reference image shows you the angle it should be.

Most of the lines in this design will not be perfectly straight because we want the letter to look like it’s made out of a bubble.

However, this line will be an exception. We still recommend tightening it freehand rather than using a monarch but try to make it as straightforward as possible.

Once this is done, we can carry on to the next stage, where we will count what you started.

Step 2

Next, extend the first line you drew to the next area of this N. As you can see in our model, this stripe is drawn from above where the previous one ended.

The top of this first line curves and then descends, almost like a roller coaster fall. So it will thread quite sharply, but there will still be a slight bend.

The base of the new line curves slightly as we start drawing the base of the N. This line can be tricky to find, so try to take it nice and slow.

Also, follow the reference image carefully, which will help you find the right angle and curve. Then it’s on to stride 3, where we resume with the design!

Step 3

The third phase of your bubble letter n focuses on the lower part of the letter. We can do this part, so let’s take it slow.

Steps like these will show you why it can be so useful to draw a regular N first, as it makes visualizing the end product so much easier!

First, we start right where the line ended before. Curves will bulge upwards, as shown in the sample image.

This line ends roughly halfway through the letter, where it ends at a sharp point. Finally, you need to draw another sloping line from that sharp point.

That means you’re ready to finish the schematic’s final details in the guide’s next step. So if you are ready, we can move on to this part.

Step 4

As mentioned in the previous step, this allows you to finish the outline for the letter before adding the finishing touches in the next step of the guide.

To do this, we draw the columnar section on the right side of the letter. Right now, we will fill a space on the right.

You can start this next section from the top or bottom line.

However you do it, we’ll draw a long, curved shape that starts and ends where the lines ended before.

As you will see in the reference image, it is the same height as the pillar on the left. You’re done with the garnish!

Before proceeding with the final touches, erase any pencil lines you used as a guide. Once you’ve drawn the final lines in ink, ensure it’s totally dry before obliterating anything.

Step 5

You’ve satisfied the most challenging aspects of this message, and now we can take it easy and want some final details.

These details will look simple but make a big difference to the design. The main purpose of these pieces is to give the impression that this letter consists of a bubble.

We’ll start this process by making it appear like the bubble letter reflects light. To do this, draw too small ovals on the letters.

In our example, we placed them on top of the letter, but you can place them anywhere.

Next, we want the letter to have some depth and volume, and we achieve this by drawing various slightly curved lines across the letter.

These will help make it look like the letter has been inflated.

We’ll show you where we placed these lines, but you can draw them elsewhere if you want to customize them. Once drawn, you can add your details!

Some shapes, patterns or small details can make your letter N more unique. Let’s move on to the last step and colourize your photo when you’re done.

Step 6

Now you are ready for the last step of this guide, where you will add some colour to your bubble letter N.

This step lets you enjoy and innovate, so we prompt you to test and see what occurs!

For now, we’ll use our example as a basis for how you can colour it. We used a darker blue colour scheme but also used some colour variations.

By making the colours lighter in some areas than others, you can make it appear as if the light is shining on the letters. In our example, you can see how we succeeded.

This colour combo looks great, but you mustn’t stick to it. You can choose other colours you like and might even want to use many different colours!

Once you have decided how to colour it, you can also enjoy playing with instruments and artistic means.
